The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is the birthplace of organized skiing in the United States. The “Michigan Skiing Legacy” documentary film explores the skiing culture that continues to shape the lives of those who consider themselves “yoopers” and honors the legends who shaped the sport.
Showcasing the passionate locals who keep its spirit alive, this heartfelt tribute highlights a vibrant community united by a love of skiing and breathtaking landscapes. From ski jumping to Nordic and backcountry skiing, the film includes educational institutions and ski areas like Northern Michigan University, Gogebic Community College (ski area management program), Big Powderhorn, Mt Bohemia and Copper Peak.

Evening Schedule
