It’s a funny, insightful, sensationally acted account of art’s capacity to dissolve walls, and heighten, broaden and deepen the reach of our lives.

Divine G (Colman Domingo), imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose through a prison theatre group alongside other incarcerated men, including a wary newcomer (Clarence Maclin). This powerful true story explores resilience, connection, and the transformative role of art.
Based on the real-life Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison, the film stars professional actors Colman Domingo, Sean San José, and Paul Raci, alongside a remarkable ensemble of formerly incarcerated men—many of whom participated in the program during their own incarceration.
