DESCRIPTION:This concert tells the powerful story of a violin recovered from a Nazi concentration camp, now serving as a symbol of remembrance, resilience, and the unifying power of music.Join us for a moving, multi-sensory experience that honors the past and celebrates the enduring strength of the human spirit. Featuring guest soloist Matheus Garcia Souza, who will give voice to the historic instrument in the Balgley&#39;s Klezmer Concerto, the program also includes deeply moving works such as Shostakovich’s String Symphony, Schindler’s List Theme, and more.Violins of Hope is an internationally-acclaimed project led by Israeli luthier Amnon Weinstein and his son Avshi, dedicated to restoring violins that survived the Holocaust and bringing them back to the concert stage.
