Little Traverse Choral Society Presents: Celebrating 30 Years of Song
800 Bay Harbor Drive
Bay Harbor, MI 49770
They have been delighting audiences for 30 years. This performance will be under the direction of Chris Hodges of Gaylord and accompanied by pianist Ellen Kendall.
In recognition of their 30th anniversary, this concert will feature favorite pieces chosen from previous LTCS concerts, as well as new repertoire which celebrates music and singing. In addition, the Little Traverse Youth Choir will be singing several selections.
The LTCS is known for its performance of signature classical pieces. The LTCS has also performed the works of contemporary composers such as John Rutter, Aaron Copland, and Ralph Vaughan Williams and has premiered compositions by local artists: Thomas Woehrmann’s Chorale Prelude on St. Crispin and Jerry Westerman’s American Requiem based on letters and poems of servicemen during the Vietnam War.
