"Riveting rock & roll with a country edge. For Fans of early Wilco, the acoustic side of Rhett Miller and the Old 97's." - Rolling Stone
The Crane Wives hail from Grand Rapids, Michigan and their music is full of intricate melodies, sister-harmonies, and compelling songcraft. Initially part of the indie folk boom, their sound has grown and broadened with each new recording. Audiences and critics call it “just really good music.” The band has received seven “Jammie” awards from influential radio station WYCE, winner of Best Folk/Country song from international competition ArtPrize and selection as one of ten “Entries We Loved” from the renowned NPR Tiny Desk Contest. If you want to hear about love, life, fear, hope, pain, and the occasional natural disaster, The Crane Wives and their songs are for you.
Lifelong friends and Petoskey natives, Michigan Rattlers play heavy-hearted folk-rock with an aching dose of Midwestern nice. Their musical chemistry is informed by the likes of AC/DC, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger, and more. Their first EP attracted glowing reviews from No Depression, Bluegrass Situation, B3 Science, and Rolling Stone, who named the band one of their “Ten New Country Artists You Need To Know” in 2016. The Rattlers 2018 summer tour included stops such as Bonnaroo, Firefly, and Electric Forest which led into the release of their first full-length album, Evergreen.
