"Besides being a feast for the eyes and ears, Les Misérables overflows with humor, heartbreak, rousing action, and ravishing romance." - Rolling Stone

Presented on the Center's 45-foot cinema screen with theatrical surround sound this film tells the tale of Frenchman Jean Valjean, who for decades has been hunted by the ruthless policeman Javert after breaking parole, agrees to care for a factory worker's daughter. The decision changes their lives forever. Set in post-revolutionary France, the story reaches resolution against the background of the June Rebellion. The film features live vocals by its star-studded cast, one of the first to do so.
