All Pink Ladies, T-Birds, and beauty school dropouts are invited to this social distanced cinema sing-along of a beloved classic!

Great Lakes Music Festival with Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers and Laith Al-Saadi

This annual event brings musicians with ties to the Great Lakes region for an evening of funk and groove, electric blues and soul, and a bit of rock n' roll.

Founding Artistic Director

Mr. Kaiser was President of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. from January 2001 through August 2014. During his tenure, he expanded educational and artistic programming for the United States’ center for the performing arts, oversaw a major renovation effort of the Center’s theaters, and led the nation in arts management training. In 2001, Mr. Kaiser created the Kennedy Center Arts Management Institute, renamed the DeVos Institute of Arts Management in May 2010. In honor of his accomplishments, the Board of the Kennedy Center named him President Emeritus in 2014.

Mark your calendars for special events July 2018 celebrating Grand Opening!

Celebrations surrounding the Grand Opening of the Great Lakes Center for the Arts in July 2018 will span several days and include world-class performances and fun, family activities in recognition of this historic occasion in Northern Michigan. From a Founding Circle donor dinner on stage, to the incredible music of the distinguished Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and culminating with a Community Open House on July 8, 2018.
