The Great Lakes Center for the Arts in Petoskey has announced its 2018 Premiere Summer Season line-up of performances with a mix of programming featuring dance, music, theater, comedy, and intellectual dialogue.
The Center’s announcement of the 2018 Premiere Summer Season on July 17, 2017 also launched the pre-sale of event subscriptions for the family of donors who have supported the Center with gifts of $5,000 or more, including through Seat Campaign and Founding Circle gifts.
“We are so excited to share the first summer season programming. Our inaugural season stays true to the Center’s mission to present a variety of performing arts, with accessible ticket pricing, in a state-of-the-art theater right here in Northern Michigan,” said Jill O’Neill, the Center’s Executive Director. “Our donors have brought this vision to reality and we are delighted to offer the 2018 Premiere Summer Season subscription opportunities initially to this group. We will be welcoming the general public to subscribe beginning Sept. 1, 2017.”
Subscriptions allow patrons to purchase seats for multiple events at one time, ensuring seats and securing discounts based on the Center’s series option. Events will roll out in the weeks and months ahead:
- July 17, 2017: 2018 Premiere Summer Season programming announcement online at greatlakescfa.org, to the Center’s e-news subscribers, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube followers, and in regional media.
- July 17, 2017: Subscription pre-sales commence for donors who have supported the Center with gifts of $5,000 or more.
- Sept. 1, 2017: Public subscription sales begin.
Subscribers may enjoy early-bird discounts through Dec. 31, 2017. Single tickets for all events will go on sale March 1, 2018.
“Our theater is intimate – just 500 seats are available to experience incredible programming, so subscribing is the best way to ensure seats for the Premiere Summer Season,” said O’Neill.
Donors will receive priority access to tickets for the 2018 Premiere Summer Season in recognition of their early support in bringing this vision to reality in Northern Michigan, said Maris Harrington, Director of Development.
“By becoming a donor, our patrons can further ensure they will not miss the exceptional performances we will be presenting to the community beginning in July 2018,” said Harrington. “All are welcome to join the family of dreammakers and help ensure that a legacy of year-round cultural programs and events reaches all in Northern Michigan for generations.”
Construction of the Center is well under way and is on schedule for the July 7, 2018 Grand Opening Gala. The Center is a year-round performing arts venue, and additional programs will be regularly announced starting in Spring 2018 and onward.
“We wanted to give people a taste of the types of performances we will be offering in the years to come, with this summer’s early announcement of the premiere summer season,” added O’Neill.
